Base Plates

Pioneer has developed 2 styles of hard to find base plates for timber post installation.

The PLS-8PC is a non-structural standoff made for 8” x 8” posts that are nominal 7.5” x 7.5” and is black powder coated. It can also be used with a full 8” post by notching the bottom of the post. The PLS-10PC is available for 10” and 12” posts. These are suitable for Pergola, Trellis and porch posts that don’t require much hold down.

The PLS-KP8G is a heavy duty Knife plate made from welded steel and hot dip galvanized. This base uses 4 – 5/8” x 6” anchor bolts and 2- 3/4”x 5” pins in the knife blade. It will accommodate 8”, 10” and 12” posts. This base is designed for maximum hold down performance.
